Top team working well: CS

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says she has worked well with the Chief Executive over the past year.
 
Speaking to the media today, Mrs Lam rejected claims the Chief Executive undervalues her, saying he has assigned her to work on many issues.
 
She said she is committed to serving Hong Kong for the rest of the Government's term.
 
Although policy secretaries can air different views during internal discussions, she said it is crucial that the whole team works together to support the Chief Executive in implementing his policies.
 
She said, with the Government's hard work in the first year of its tenure, it has made achievements, as announced in it recent work progress report.
 
Mrs Lam said it will continue to work hard to face the challenges ahead, and implement the Chief Executive's policies.
 
Meanwhile, the Government has withheld the Tseung Kwan O landfill proposal, and will work hard to reduce the landfill nuisance caused to nearby residents, she said.
 
The Government will also table the Tuen Mun and Ta Kwu Ling landfill proposals at the Legislative Council on July 2.
