CS attends Shenzhen ceremony
June 24, 2013
Chief Secretary Carrie Lam attended a plaque unveiling ceremony at the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation Entrepreneurship Base in Nanshan today.
She unveiled the commemorative plaque with Shenzhen Mayor Xu Qin, and witnessed the agreement signing ceremony between enterprises and the base's managing agency.
She said the base provides a conducive environment for young entrepreneurs in Hong Kong and Shenzhen to start their own technology businesses, and it serves as a platform for them to exchange and incubate ideas.
The base is located near the University Town of Shenzhen where top-tier Mainland universities like Tsinghua and Peking Universities, and the Harbin Institute of Technology, have set up subsidiaries.
With a total area of about 2,000 square metres, the base offers preferential office rates, well-equipped infrastructure and professional consultation services for young entrepreneurs and companies on the Mainland and in Hong Kong.
