CS to visit UK, Spain

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will visit London, Madrid and Barcelona from November 12 to 17.
During her stay in London from November 12 to 14, she will meet Members of Parliament and senior government officials, as well as several business and professional associations, to update them on Hong Kong's latest developments and promote bilateral exchanges.
She will attend the Hong Kong Trade Development Council annual dinner and a forum hosted by the British Council in London. She will also visit some social enterprises and cultural facilities.
She will visit Madrid and Barcelona from November 15 to 17 to attend a ceremony marking the conclusion of agreements concerning mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and the transfer of sentenced people between Hong Kong and Spain.
She will also speak at a luncheon held by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office and Trade Development Council in Madrid.
In Barcelona she will sign a memorandum of understanding with its mayor to promote exchanges between Hong Kong and the city on urban planning and waterfront enhancement.
Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong on November 18. Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing will act as Chief Secretary during her absence.
