CE mourns Sir John J Swaine

Chief Executive CY Leung today extended his condolences to the family of former President of the Legislative Council Sir John J Swaine, who has died.
 
"Sir John has made tremendous contributions to the legal profession and public service in Hong Kong. On behalf of the Government, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Sir John's family," Mr Leung said.
 
As a barrister, Sir John was the President of the Legislative Council and a member of the Executive Council before the Handover.
 
Sir John served as an Administrative Officer in the 1950s.
