CY Leung misquote corrected

The Chief Executive-elect's Office today corrected a misquote of Chief Executive-elect CY Leung in the Financial Times article ‘A majority to accommodate’ published yesterday.
 
The article quoted Mr Leung as saying his proposals to address imbalances in the economy include "forcing business to provide more subsidised housing".
 
The office said he did not make the remark and such a proposal is not in his manifesto.
 
What Mr Leung said was: "As far as housing is concerned, my proposal is to fill in the gap [between property prices and what people can afford] by providing subsidised housing, including public rental units and Home Ownership Scheme units."
 
The Financial Times online version has been amended.
