Testing compliance checks finished
The Government today completed joint enforcement operations at Block 11 of Discovery Park in Tsuen Wan and Block 5 of Royal Ascot in Sha Tin, which were earlier included in compulsory testing notices.
The Tsuen Wan enforcement action was conducted by the Environment & Ecology Bureau and the Environmental Protection Department, while the Sha Tin operation was carried out by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department.
Police and the Department of Health also took part in both operations.
The test records of 271 people in Block 11 of Discovery Park and 198 people in Block 5 of Royal Ascot were checked.
Twenty-four people failed to comply with the notice at Discovery Park while another two were non-compliant at Royal Ascot. All of them were issued with a compulsory testing order.
A fixed penalty notice of $10,000 was also issued to 12 of them.
