The Government today completed joint enforcement operations at Yuet Fung House of Yi Fung Court in Kwai Chung and Wah Yan House of Wah Ha Estate in Chai Wan, which were earlier included in compulsory testing notices.

The Kwai Chung enforcement action was conducted from around 8.30am to 11.30am by the Lands Department, while the Housing Department carried out the Chai Wan operation from about 8.30am to 11.30am.

Police and the Department of Health also took part in both operations.

The Government arranged for staff to verify the testing certifications of people subject to compulsory testing at the buildings’ entrances and exits.

The test records of 344 people in Yuet Fung House of Yi Fung Court and 163 people in Wah Yan House of Wah Ha Estate were checked.

As a result, 14 people in total were found to have violated the compulsory testing notice and were issued with a compulsory testing order.

A fixed penalty notice of $10,000 was issued to seven of them.
