Testing records verified
The Government today completed joint enforcement operations at Block 35 of Laguna City in Cha Kwo Ling and Towers 5A, 5B of Century Link in Tung Chung, which were earlier included in compulsory testing notices.
The Environment & Ecology Bureau and the Environmental Protection Department conducted the Cha Kwo Ling enforcement action from around 8.30am to 11.30am, while the Islands District Office carried out the Tung Chung operation from about 7.30am to 10.30am.
Police and the Department of Health took part in both operations.
The Government arranged for staff to verify the testing certifications of people subject to compulsory testing at the buildings’ entrances and exits.
The test records of 207 people in Block 35 of Laguna City and 330 people in the two blocks of Century Link were checked.
As a result, 13 people in total were found to have violated the compulsory testing notice and were issued with a compulsory testing order.
A fixed penalty notice of $10,000 was also issued to eight of the Century Link residents.
