946 cases found in restricted areas

Government staff distribute anti-epidemic proprietary Chinese medicines supplied by the central government to a citizen in the Choi Wan (I) Estate restricted area in Wong Tai Sin.

The Government today announced that 946 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Sha Tin, Tuen Mun, Sham Shui Po, Wong Tai Sin and Aberdeen.

 

It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday for Sheung Sam House of Lung Hang Estate in Sha Tin where 1,320 people were tested and 120 preliminary positive cases were identified.

 

In Tuen Mun at Wu Fai House of Wu King Estate, Block 5 of Po Tin Estate and Tip Chui House of Butterfly Estate, 3,357 people underwent a test and 327 of them preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19.

 

Regarding Fu Hoi and Fu Yee houses of Fu Cheong Estate in Sham Shui Po, 54 initially positive cases were found after testing 527 people.

 

As for Pak Fung, Yuk Lun and Fei Fung houses of Choi Wan (I) Estate in Wong Tai Sin where 2,730 people took a virus test, 384 preliminary positive cases were detected.

 

Meanwhile, at Lei Yee House of Ap Lei Chau Estate in Aberdeen, 61 out of the 940 people tested received preliminary positive results.

 

There were 99 indeterminate cases in the restricted areas, the Government added.
