32 cases found in restricted areas

Residents in Un Shing House of Un Chau Estate get tested in the temporary specimen collection stations.
The Government today announced that 32 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found during the compulsory testing exercises for two restricted areas in Sham Shui Po.
It made restriction-testing declarations last night to cover Un Shing House of Un Chau Estate and Begonia House of So Uk Estate, where about 1,980 and 1,100 people were tested.
Twenty-three preliminary positive cases and two indeterminate cases were detected in Un Shing House, while nine preliminary positive cases were found in Begonia House.
The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
As a number of initially positive cases were identified in Un Shing House, residents are required to undergo compulsory testing two more times, one by February 13 and another between February 14 and 16, to avoid missing any cases.
