1 imported COVID-19 case reported

The Centre for Health Protection said today it is investigating one additional imported case of COVID-19 which involves the L452R mutant strain.

 

The 56-year-old male patient arrived from Saudi Arabia. He is a close contact of a previous imported case and tested positive at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Centre.

 

Meanwhile, specified people linked to Graceful Mansion (Block H2), Siena Two in Discovery Bay have to undergo compulsory testing in accordance with a compulsory testing notice tomorrow.

 

Additionally, 10 schools are covered in the compulsory testing notice due to an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection or influenza-like illness.

 

Mobile specimen collection stations will be set up in various districts tomorrow to provide free service for those subject to compulsory testing.

 

A total of 52 cases have been reported in Hong Kong over the past 14 days, all of which are imported.
