3 imported COVID-19 cases found

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating three additional imported COVID-19 cases involving patients who arrived from Indonesia, the Philippines and Pakistan.

 

All three cases tested positive at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Centre. Two of them involve mutant strains while the mutation test result of the remaining case is pending.

 

Meanwhile, specified people linked to Golden Glory Court, Phase 1, Golden Lion Garden in Sha Tin are reminded to undergo testing tomorrow in accordance with the compulsory testing notice.

 

In view of a preliminary positive imported case who had stayed in Hong Kong during the incubation period, three specified premises are included in the compulsory testing notice. Those who have completed a COVID-19 vaccination course are also subject to compulsory testing.

 

Three schools or their specified levels are also covered in the notice due to an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection or influenza-like illness.

A total of 63 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, one of which is a local case with an unknown infection source and the rest are imported.
