5 imported COVID-19 cases identified

September 20, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating five additional imported COVID-19 cases involving patients who arrived from Kenya, Myanmar, the Philippines and the US.

A total of 39 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, all of which are imported.

As 26 schools have reported outbreaks of upper respiratory tract infection and influenza-like illness, the schools or their specified levels are covered in the compulsory testing notice.

Those who have completed a COVID-19 vaccination course would be taken to have complied with the requirements set out in the notice.
