3 imported COVID-19 cases detected

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating three additional COVID-19 cases involving two women and one man who arrived from the UK, Indonesia and Namibia.

 

A total of 40 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, including two local cases, of which one has an unknown infection source.

 

As community testing centres and mobile specimen collection stations were closed this morning due to adverse weather, the testing deadlines for the compulsory testing notices announced on June 26 and 27 will be extended by one day.

 

Regarding a previous local case with the L452R mutant strain which has an unknown infection source, people who had been at four specified premises during the specified period, including those who completed a COVID-19 vaccination course, must undergo additional testing.

 

Futhermore, one school is covered in the latest compulsory testing notice due to an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection or influenza-like illness.

 

The centre also reminded specified people linked to Block 10 of Tai Po Centre in Tai Po to undergo testing in accordance with the compulsory testing notice on June 29.

 

mobile specimen collection station will be set up at North Transition Deck, L6, Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport on June 29, while the service period of those at Tai Po Market Station Public Transport Interchange and open area outside Block 10 of Tai Po Centre will be extended to June 30.
