Flights from Indonesia suspended

June 23, 2021

The Government announced today that all passenger flights from Indonesia will be prohibited from landing in Hong Kong from June 25.

As the number of imported cases from Indonesia has reached the threshold, the Government decided to invoke the place-specific flight suspension for Indonesia.

It will also list Indonesia as an extremely high-risk Group A1 specified place, restricting people who have stayed there for more than two hours from boarding passenger flights for Hong Kong.

The Government will gazette the relevant updated specifications under the Prevention & Control of Disease (Regulation of Cross-boundary Conveyances & Travellers) Regulation to effect the above measures on June 25.

The place-specific flight suspension for India, Nepal, Pakistan, and the Philippines will remain in place, considering the epidemic situation in these places.
