The Centre for Health Protection said today it is investigating one additional COVID-19 case involving a man who arrived from Sri Lanka.

A total of 33 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, including three local ones, of which one has an unknown infection source.

Meanwhile, the centre was notified on June 15 by the Macau health authority of a suspected re-positive case in Macau involving an 18-year-old man.

The patient was a local confirmed case announced in Hong Kong on December 16 and he was discharged from hospital on December 30 upon recovery.

He tested negative for COVID-19 on June 13 and went to Macau via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port on the same day.

The man tested weakly positive for COVID-19 on June 15 during quarantine in Macau but tested positive for the antibody against SARS-CoV-2.

The centre is following up on the case with Macau including comparing the genetic sequence of the samples.

Wah Chun House at Wah Fu Estate in Pok Fu Lam where he had stayed is placed under the compulsory testing notice.

Regarding the previous local cases with the N501Y mutant strain, people who had been at 12 specified premises during the specified periods have to undergo additional testing.

Among those premises, since the relevant confirmed case had been at Tak Wing Industrial Building for a significant period of time and had taken lifts with other people, the whole building is included in the compulsory testing notice.

The Government will set up mobile specimen collection stations at two places tomorrow to provide free testing services.
