Police today clarified that online messages claiming that district police stations are giving out free face masks to the public are false.

The force also dismissed claims that the Government will supply a large amount of face masks to family members of police officers and said it must quash such misinformation.

Police said it pledges to stand firm and join hands with people from all walks of life to fight the battle against the epidemic.
