November exports dip 1.4%

The value of Hong Kong’s total exports decreased to $359.3 billion in November, down 1.4% on the same month last year, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.

 

The value of imports fell 5.8% to $385.4 billion for the same period.

 

A trade deficit of $26.2 billion, or 6.8% of the value of imports, was recorded for the month.

 

Comparing the three-month period ending November with the preceding three months on a seasonally adjusted basis, the value of exports increased 0.7% while that of imports fell 1.9%.
