The Chief Executive has reappointed Prof Albert Yu as Hong Kong Council for Testing & Certification Chairman.

He will serve for two years from January 1, 2020.

The Chief Executive has also appointed six new members, namely Patrick Lee, Ann Leung, Kenneth Leung, Wingco Lo, Fanny Tang and Prof Wong Wing-tak, and reappointed nine incumbent members for another two-year term.

Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang said: "Prof Yu and other council members have contributed greatly to fostering the development of the testing and certification industry over the past years.

“We believe that under the chairmanship of Prof Yu, the council will continue to enhance the professional standing of the industry and provide effective support for its long-term growth."

Mr Yang also thanked seven outgoing members for their valuable contribution to the council's work.
