Cycling world cup gets 'M' Mark

November 22, 2019

The Major Sports Events Committee has awarded "M" Mark status to the 2019-2020 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup, Hong Kong, China to be held from November 29 to December 1.

This event will add colour and vibrancy to Hong Kong and provide an opportunity for people to watch high-level competitions, the committee’s Chairman Karl Kwok said today.

"'M' Mark events reinforce Hong Kong's position as the events capital of Asia,” Mr Kwok noted.

Such events also help generate economic benefits for Hong Kong and foster social cohesion, he added.

About $184.61 million has been approved so far to support such events.
