The Government today announced it recorded a $68 billion surplus for the year ending March 31, with fiscal reserves at $1.1709 trillion.

Government expenditure amounted to $531.8 billion for the period and revenue was $599.8 billion.

The consolidated surplus for the year was $9.3 billion higher than the revised estimate.
