Composite interest rate drops

March 19, 2019

The composite interest rate fell by three basis points to 0.8% in February compared with January’s figure, the Monetary Authority announced today.

It reflected declines in the weighted funding cost for deposits during the month, the authority said.

The composite interest rate is a measure of the average cost of funds of banks.
