Chief Executive Carrie Lam today said the Mass Transit Railway Corporation should ensure the safety and reliability of its railways to meet the public’s transport needs.

Train services on the MTRC’s main rail lines were delayed due to a signal failure this morning.

Mrs Lam urged the railway operator to improve its precautionary measures.

She also appealed to employers to make flexible arrangements for affected employees.
