Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung officiated at the reviewing ceremony of the Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps’ 50th anniversary parade today.

Mr Cheung said the cadet corps, established in 1968, encourages young people to develop skills, leadership, and build self-confidence and a sense of responsibility.

The parade was followed by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Training Sharing Session, in which youth training leaders from various cities in the bay area were invited to attend. 

Mr Cheung said he hoped the sharing session would encourage bay area youth training and development organisations to establish closer links with each other and lay a solid foundation for further exchanges and co-operation.
