Customs officers have seized infringing goods and other illicit items during an operation.

Customs officers have seized suspected illicit cigarettes, infringing goods and dangerous drugs worth about $680,000 in Sham Shui Po.

 

The Customs & Excise Department conducted an anti-crime operation in the district between August 1 and 12.

 

About 90,000 illicit cigarettes with an estimated market value of $240,000 and about 3,000 items of infringing goods, including clothing, bags and phone accessories worth $440,000, were seized.

 

A small amount of dangerous drugs, including cocaine and methamphetamine were also found.

 

A total of 15 men and 10 women, aged between 29 and 79, were arrested.

 

Hong Kong Customs said it will continue to combat illegal activities.
