Goods exports up 0.7%

The volume of Hong Kong's total exports of goods in June increased 0.7% year-on-year, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.

 

The volume of imports of goods increased 1.7% in June compared to the same month last year.

 

The prices of total exports of goods increased 2.7% year-on-year for June and the prices of goods imports rose 2.9%.

 

In the first half of 2018, the volume of total exports of goods was up 6.7% over the same period last year, while the volume of goods imports rose 7.9%.

 

The prices of total goods exports for the first half of the year increased 2.5%, while the prices of imports of goods increased by 2.6%.

 

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of total exports of goods increased 0.8% in the second quarter of 2018 compared with the preceding quarter, while the volume of goods imports increased 0.7%.
