Customs urged people today to stop letting children play with an unsafe toy drawing board, which could lead to intestinal blockage.

The Government Laboratory recently conducted safety tests on the product. The results showed the magnetic strength of the toy's small magnetic component parts breached toy safety standards and could cause intestinal blockage if swallowed by children.

Officers seized a total of 175 sets of the product from the retailer and the wholesaler today. An investigation is ongoing.

It is a criminal offence to manufacture, import or supply unsafe toys or children's products. The maximum penalty is a fine of $100,000 and one-year imprisonment on first conviction.
