Bogus email, website alert issued

The Monetary Authority has issued an alert on phishing emails and fraudulent websites claiming to be from the Bank of China (Hong Kong).

 

 

The addresses of the phishing emails are tua@tualaonline.org and um@manniecare.uk.

 

 

The bank said it has no connection with the emails and reminded clients not to click on the links in them.

 

 

The fake website links embedded in the emails are https://myvoicecanada.com/hk/netbanking/netbank/notification/logon/cn.htm and https://ijaar.org/hk/netbanking/netbank/logon/cn.htm.

 

 

Anyone who has provided personal information or conducted financial transactions through the websites should contact Police at 2860 5012 and the bank at 3988 2388.
