Secretary for Justice Teresa Cheng will visit Washington, DC, and New York from July 11 to 17.

She will promote Hong Kong as an international legal and dispute resolution services centre in Asia and update leading figures on the city's latest developments.

In Washington, DC, Ms Cheng will speak at the American University Center on International Commercial Arbitration and Georgetown University Law Center.

She will also deliver a speech at the Society of International Economic Law Biennial and join a roundtable meeting on the rule of law in Hong Kong.

In New York, Ms Cheng will address a business luncheon, attend a roundtable discussion organised by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in New York and the Asia Society, and join a talk hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce.

She will also meet senior US government officials and representatives from the international arbitration sector and think tanks.
