Secretary for the Environment KS Wong learns about training for people with rehabilitation service needs at the Jockey Club Endeavour Workshop + Albert Wu Rainbow Workshop.

Secretary for the Environment KS Wong visited a co-working space and a rehabilitation workshop in Wan Chai District today.

 

Mr Wong first visited a co-working space company on Whitfield Road, where he spoke with young entrepreneurs to learn about their challenges in running startups.

 

He encouraged them to help reduce carbon emissions and waste.

 

He then went to the Jockey Club Endeavour Workshop + Albert Wu Rainbow Workshop operated by St James' Settlement, which provides job training opportunities for people with rehabilitation service needs.

 

The workshop also upcycles abandoned items into useful products.

 

During the visit, Mr Wong spoke with those who have rehabilitation service needs to learn about their daily rehabilitation training.

  

He also met with Wan Chai District Councillors to discuss environmental issues.

 

Mr Wong said the Government is continuing to promote Community Green Station projects to strengthen support for waste reduction and recycling.
