Firefighters carried out high angle rescue drills at the Hong Kong Observation Wheel during a fire safety event today.

Jointly organised by the Fire Services Department Hong Kong Command and the Hong Kong Observation Wheel, the Fire Safety Fun Day enhanced the public’s fire safety awareness through a range of activities and demonstrations.

The professionalism and diligence of fire personnel were on full display at the event, as they carried out the high angle rescue drills.

Activities were also held to introduce the public to break-in equipment and to show people how traffic accident rescue operations are conducted.

Other highlights included a “Learn How to Escape” game, a fire simulator demonstration and an area where participants could dress up in retro and modern firefighting tunics.
