New IPCC chairman appointed

Anthony Neoh has been appointed as Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC), succeeding serving Chairman Larry Kwok, the Government announced today.

 

Anissa Chan and Roland Wong were also appointed as IPCC members while serving members Clement Chan and Wilson Kwong were reappointed.

 

The appointments were made by the Chief Executive according to the IPCC Ordinance for two years from June 1.

 

The Security Bureau said Mr Neoh has extensive experience in public services and has made significant contributions, including developing Hong Kong's international arbitration services and regulatory standards for financial services.

 

The bureau thanked Mr Kwok for promoting the work of the IPCC and his contributions to the improvement of its operation.

 

The IPCC is an independent statutory body responsible for monitoring and reviewing investigations of complaints against members of the Police Force.
