More than 1,600 spectators cheered on competitors in the annual Bun Scrambling Competition last night as they climbed a tower to snatch as many buns as possible in three minutes.

Competitors Kwok Ka-ming and Wu Wing-yu won the men's and women's categories.

Kwok also won the Full Pockets of Lucky Buns category after collecting 134 buns.

Aside from the individual competitions, an invitation relay where teams from Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Macau were pitted against local teams from Cheung Chau also took place.

The Zhuhai Climbing Association Team won the relay.

The Bun Scrambling Competition provided an exciting finale to the Cheung Chau Jiao Festival.
