Chief Executive Carrie Lam will visit Huizhou and Guangzhou on May 16 and 17.

She will meet officials from the Huizhou and Guangzhou municipal governments, along with provincial leaders, to discuss the preparatory work for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area development.

She will visit firms in the innovation and technology, scientific research, education and medical services industries, and communities where Hong Kong people live.

Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung will be Acting Chief Executive during Mrs Lam's absence.
