Anna Wu has been reappointed as Competition Commission Chairperson, while five other members have been reappointed and nine new members appointed, the Government announced today.

The reappointed members are Samuel Chan, Michael Hui, Kwok Kwok-chuen, Dr Anthony Seeto and Prof Suen Wing-chuen.

The new appointees are Prof KC Chan, Jennifer Chan, Joe Chau, Dennis Kwok, Rachel Lam, Alan Lui, Roy Ng, Sandy Wong and Tony Yung.

The appointments are for two years from May 1.

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Edward Yau thanked outgoing members Chan Kwok-wai, Agnes Chan, Thomas Cheng, Prof Leonard Cheng, Miranda Kwok, Andrew Leung, Gilly Wong and Simon Wong for their contribution.

The commission enforces the Competition Ordinance, investigates possible contraventions, conducts market studies and advises on competition matters.
