Customs officers today seized 400,000 illicit cigarettes worth $1.1 million in Yuen Long.

They arrested a 52-year-old man who was moving 30,000 cigarettes in nylon bags.

Another 370,000 were later found in his flat.

The haul had a duty potential of $800,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
