A Hong Kong delegation will visit Zhejiang and Beijing from January 15 to 19 at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Permanent Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Roy Tang will lead the delegation to Hangzhou and Yiwu in Zhejiang from January 15 to 17 to meet officials and study the region's developments.

Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Patrick Nip will lead the delegation to Beijing from January 17 to 19 to meet officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Council Information Office.

During Mr Nip's absence, Under Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Andy Chan will be Acting Secretary.

Since 1999, officials from both sides have been conducting reciprocal visits annually to enhance communication and mutual understanding.
