    Immigration officials on Mainland visit

A delegation of 10 Immigration officers will leave on an 11-day study visit to Beijing, Changchun and Heifei on April 9, enhancing co-operation with the relevant Mainland authorities.

Director of Immigration Peh Yun-lu said co-operation and communication between the department and Mainland authorities have been increasing since the reunification.

He added regular study visits to the Mainland are highly desirable as they facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience with Mainland counterparts.

The delegation will visit the Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Capital International Airport, the Immigration Section of the Hong Kong Government's Beijing Office and the Public Security Bureau, Foreign Affairs Office, and travel document and exit-endorsement-issuing offices in several cities.

The delegation will return to Hong Kong on April 19.
