Chamber Choir to perform original Messiah

The Hong Kong Chamber Choir will perform the original version of Handel's Messiah at Tsuen Wan Town Hall, April 11.

The original version, presented at its very first performances in Dublin in 1742, preserves the piece's intimate but intensely energetic and virtuosic duets.

The show features conductor and harpsichordist Michael Ryan, sopranos Rosaline Pi and Clara Yip, alto Cindy Wong, counter-tenor Enico Luk, tenor Sam Lau, baritone Alan Tsang, bass Edmund Kwan, organist Wong Kin-Yu and the Hong Kong Soloists.

Tickets for the 8pm concert are $80, $100 and $120 at URBTIX outlets. Call 2268 7321 for more information.
