Due to public demand, the second phase of restoration of Fei Mu's lost classic Confucius will be shown in April and May.
The initial phase of restoration, shown last year, garnered an overwhelming response, with the film's depiction of Chinese history, culture, art, musicology and other disciplines.
The new version will be screened at 6pm on April 2 at the Cultural Centre, and at 2.30pm on April 17 and May 2 at the Film Archive.
Fei's films, and works adapted from his scripts, will be shown during the 34th Hong Kong International Film Festival from March 26 to April 4, and another nine screenings will be shown from April 9 to May 2. They include Spring in a Small Town, Song of China, Murder in the Oratory, and A Wedding in the Dream.
Tickets for Confucius are $40, and $30 for other screenings, and can be purchased at URBTIX outlets from March 11.
Some films will have English subtitles. For more information click here or call 2739 2139 or 2734 2900.
