Kiev Ballet to perform two classics in Sept

Raymonda
World-class masterpiece: The award-winning Kiev Ballet will premiere Raymonda in September.

The world-class Kiev Ballet, visiting Hong Kong for the first time, will present two ballet masterpieces in September, the premiere Raymonda with two acts and the classic Swan Lake.

 

As the resident ballet company of the National Opera of Ukraine, the Kiev Ballet has repertoires of 24 full-length ballets. Stars including Alina Cojocaru and Ivan Putrov are principal artists of the group.

 

Raymonda will be staged at 7.30pm on September 18 and 19 at the Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium; the classic Swan Lake will be performed at 7.30pm on September 20, at the Tuen Mun Town Hall Auditorium. Tickets ranging from from $100 to $360 will be available from July 18 at URBTIX outlets.

 

A ballet workshop conducted by the Kiev Ballet's artistic director and two free pre-performance talks and will also be held in August and September.
