Chinese, Western classics to meet Aug 1

Night party: Conductor Lim Kek-han will lead the Hong Kong-China Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of classical Chinese and Western music in August.

Conductor Lim Kek-han will lead the Hong Kong-China Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of classical Chinese and Western music in August, featuring violin prodigy Andrew Wong.

 

The Chinese pieces include He Luting's Night Party and Liu Tieshan and Mao Yuan's Dance of the Yao People. Western pieces include Saint-Saens' Violin Concerto No.3 in B-minor and Beethoven's Symphony No.3 in E-flat, Eroica.

 

The concert will be held at 8pm on August 1 at Tsuen Wan Town Hall. Tickets are $80, $110 and $140 at URBTIX outlets. For more information click here. Call 2268 7321 for enquiries.
