Concerts to mark Music Office's 40th

January 04, 2018

Chinese and Western music concerts will be held in February to celebrate the Music Office's 40th anniversary.

The Youth Choir and the Children's Choir will mark the anniversary by performing works by renowned composers Johann Sebastian Bach and Gabriel Faure in a concert at City Hall on February 4.

The two choirs will also be performing Grammy Award winning Christopher Tin's Baba Yetu and the office's school song Music for the Millions.

Chinese orchestral music, a dazzling drums performance and a pipa concerto will also be performed by the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra in a concert at City Hall on February 11.

The Music Office was established in 1977 and promotes knowledge and appreciation of music in the community.

Tickets for the choirs' concert are now available at URBTIX, while tickets for the Youth Chinese Orchestra concert will be available on the website from January 11.
