The Film Archive will screen the star-studded film Center Stage (1992) at 7pm on October 27.
It stars Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung, Chin Han, Carina Lau and Cecilia Yip.
The screening is in support of World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, which promotes awareness about preserving audio-visual documents.
The audience will watch the director's cut of the film, which is about 30 minutes longer than the original version.
The movie is based on the biography of legendary actress Ruan Lingyu in the 1930s.
Lead actress Cheung won the Silver Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival for her performance in the film.
