Chinese film festival to screen

Going native:  Chinese Film Panorama 2017 will open with Lu Chuan's animal story Born in China.

Chinese Film Panorama 2017 will showcase 16 recent Chinese movies from September 18 to October 22 at the Cultural Centre, the Film Archive, the Space Museum and the Science Museum.

 

The programme is jointly presented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and the South China Film Industry Workers Union.

 

The opening film Born in China (2016) is an animal story directed by Lu Chuan, and made in association with Disneynature and narrated by noted actress Zhou Xun.

 

Other films are The Blood Hound (2017), Knife in the Clear Water (2016), The Master (2015), Hide & Seek (2016), Everybody's Fine (2016), The Song of Cotton (2016), Kaili Blues (2016), Paths of the Soul (2017), Young Love Lost (2017), The Summer is Gone (2017), Crosscurrent (2016), When Larry Met Mary (2016), Distance (2016), The Warriors (2016) and The Spirits of the Drum (2016).

 

The Warriors and The Spirits of the Drum will be screened for free at the University of Hong Kong, Cine-Art House, North District Town Hall and the Sunbeam Theatre.

 

Tickets are available at URBTIX. Tickets for free screenings will be distributed at the respective venues from September 1.
