Opera festival to open in June

The Chinese Opera Festival will be staged from June 13 to August 13.
 
The festival will showcase 10 Chinese operatic genres including Peking and Cantonese operas.
 
Presented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, the festival is part of the events to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
 
Performances by the Peking Opera Theatre of Beijing and the China National Peking Opera Company will open the festival.
 
All performances will be staged at Cultural Centre.
