Opera festival to open in June

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will present the 8th Chinese Opera Festival from June 13 to August 13.
 
The festival will showcase 10 Chinese operatic genres including Peking and Cantonese operas.
 
It is part of the events to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
 
Conducted by the Peking Opera Theatre and the China National Peking Opera Company, the Peking Opera Gala performance will open the festival.
