Cultural ambassador scheme launched

(March 24, 2017)

Nineteen cultural ambassadors have been selected to bring arts to public spaces in the community and cultivate new audiences.

The 2017 Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme has two themes, namely elderly-oriented performing arts projects, and community arts projects with interactions and experiments.

The ambassadors will present 520 events at community venues spanning music, dance, Chinese opera, theatre and multimedia art.

Held since 1999, the scheme is organised by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department to invite local artists and culture groups to serve as ambassadors, and stage community arts events.
