About 250 orchestras and bands from primary and secondary schools will compete in the 2016 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows from November 22 to December 21.
Organised by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department’s Music Office, the programme provides an opportunity for young local musicians to conduct musical exchanges and gain performing experience.
This year’s contests cover Chinese orchestras, symphony orchestras, symphonic bands and string orchestras.
The Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band will perform with Principal Clarinet of the Hong Kong Sinfoniett Fong Hiu-kai in the Winners’ Final on December 10.
