The opening ceremony for this year’s Chinese Film Panorama was held tonight at City Hall.
It was followed by a screening of the opening film Postmen in the Mountains (1999), a film about a father and son relationship directed by Huo Jianqi.
The festival, held by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and the South China Film Industry Workers Union, will run until October 23.
It will showcase 11 selections, highlighting the Chinese films that have won international awards.
